Point 1:
GATHERING AND WELCOME

Point 2:
BURZAHOM ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE (3000-1000 BCE)
Our first stop is Burzahom, an ancient site with evidence of settlement from the Neolithic and Megalithic periods (3000 to 1000 BCE). Wander through remnants of prehistoric life, including unique pit dwellings, stone tools, and engravings. HARWAN BUDDHIST MONASTERY (4th – 5th Century CE)
Next, we visit the Harwan Buddhist Monastery, a site of immense historical and
religious importance. Dating back to the 4th to 5th century CE, this monastery is
associated with the spread of Mahayana Buddhism in Kashmir. Walk along the ancient terraced structures, marvel at the intricate tile work, and hear stories of this monastery’s connection to famous Buddhist scholars who contributed to the region’s spiritual and cultural growth.

SCENIC LUNCH AT NARANAG
Break for a scenic lunch in the breathtaking surroundings of Naranag. Nestled amid lush alpine meadows, this location offers an ideal setting for relaxation and
connection. Savor traditional Kashmiri flavors while enjoying conversations with fellow travelers, sharing stories, and building camaraderie.

NARANAG TEMPLE SITE (8th Century CE)
After lunch, we explore the Naranag Temple Complex, built in the 8th century CE by King Lalitaditya of the Karkota dynasty. This ancient Shiva temple is renowned for its architectural beauty and historical significance as a pilgrimage site. The intricate stone carvings and majestic backdrop offer a serene and spiritually enriching experience, taking you back to an era of devotion and grandeur.
